The final round of this year’s Luxembourg Cup took place in our clubhouse. This year, a total of 20 teams were registered for the preliminary rounds and yesterday the last 8 teams met to play a quarter-final, a semi-final and finally the final in direct knockout mode. The defending champions from Ettelbruck were again among the favourites this year, but alongside Bc Luxembourg 1, Roude Léiw Rumelange 2, Pbc Brouch 2 and BV Bollendorf, to name but a few, it remained exciting right to the end.
Our second team ended up in 3rd place after losing 2-4 in the shoot-out against Rumelange. Ettelbruck beat Dudelange 4-0 in the second semi-final.
At the end Ettelbruck won the final 3-1 against Rumelange 2 and thus successfully defended their title.
